
Michael Morpurgo
Sir Michael Andrew Bridge Morpurgo is an English author, poet, playwright, and librettist, best known for his children's novels such as 'War Horse'. His work often explores themes of survival, relationships with nature, and vivid settings. He was the third Children's Laureate from 2003 to 2005 and is the President of BookTrust. Morpurgo has written over 150 books, many of which have been adapted for stage, film, radio, and television. He and his wife Clare founded the charity 'Farms for City Children' in 1976.
