Daniel Mason
Daniel Mason is an American novelist and physician. He was raised in Palo Alto, California, and received a BA in biology from Harvard University, later graduating from the UCSF School of Medicine. He is currently an assistant professor in the Stanford University Department of Psychiatry. His work has been translated into 28 languages and adapted for opera and theater. Mason's writing often explores themes of illness, meaning, and the connections between people, influenced by his medical background.
