Richard Thomas Condon (March 18, 1915 – April 9, 1996) was an American novelist best known for satirical political thrillers. His fast-paced, detail-rich style and recurring focus on money and political corruption produced several bestsellers and multiple film adaptations, most famously The Manchurian Candidate (1959). He also wrote the Prizzi novels and a variety of other fiction and non-fiction works.
