James C. Dobson
James C. Dobson Jr. was an American evangelical Christian author, psychologist, and founder of Focus on the Family. He led Focus on the Family from 1977 to 2010, building it into a major media and advocacy organization. Dobson was a prominent voice for conservative social positions and traditional family values, influencing evangelicalism, politics, and culture. He authored over 70 books on parenting and family life, and his radio programs reached millions worldwide. He also advised five U.S. presidents on family matters. He passed away on August 21, 2025, at the age of 89.
