Douglas Coupland

Douglas Coupland (born 30 December 1961) is a Canadian novelist, designer and visual artist whose work popularized terms such as "Generation X" and "McJob." He is the author of numerous novels and non-fiction books (including Generation X, Microserfs and JPod), and is also active as a visual artist and designer. Coupland's work often examines contemporary North American mass culture, technology and identity. He has received multiple honours including the Order of Canada and the Order of British Columbia, and holds several honorary degrees.
