John Fairfax
John Fairfax is the pen name of William Brodrick, who was born in Bolton, Lancashire in 1960. He studied philosophy, theology, and law, and worked with homeless people in London before becoming a barrister. He is the author of the Benson and De Vere series, which includes "Summary Justice," "Blind Defence," "Forced Confessions," and "Fatal Proof." His book "Forced Confessions" was shortlisted for the CWA Gold Dagger Award in 2020. The TV rights for "Summary Justice" have been optioned by Potboiler Television. He is married with three children and lives in France.
