Kay Chronister

Kay Chronister is a writer of dark and speculative fiction. She is a graduate of the Alpha Workshop and was the winner of the 2015 Dell Magazine Award. Her short fiction has appeared in numerous publications, including Clarkesworld, Beneath Ceaseless Skies, Strange Horizons, Shimmer, Black Static, and The Dark. Her first collection of short stories, "Thin Places," was published in 2020, and her debut novel, "Desert Creatures," was released in 2022. She is also the author of "The Bog Wife" (2024). Chronister is currently a PhD candidate in Literature at the University of Arizona, researching romance, folklore, and politics in eighteenth-century Britain. She lives in Pennsylvania.
