Odessa Begay is an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation and is of Western Te-Moak Shoshone heritage. She is an award-winning illustrator and author, known for "The Language of Flowers." Begay is a graduate of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and works as a full-time illustrator for various clients. She resides in Kansas City with her husband and dog.
