Melanie Hudson was born in Yorkshire in 1971. After a career in the British armed forces, she began writing women's fiction in 2010. She has written contemporary and historical women's fiction and also writes comedy crime novels under the pen name Jo Silva. Hudson lives in Cornwall with her family.
