Martin Kelsey Brokenleg
Martin Brokenleg is a psychologist and author known for his work in trauma, resilience, and Native American studies. He is an enrolled member of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe and is the co-developer of the Circle of Courage model, which integrates Indigenous philosophies of child-rearing with contemporary resilience research. Brokenleg was a professor of Native American studies at Augustana University for 30 years and also served as professor and director of the native ministries program at the Vancouver School of Theology. He has consulted and led training programs internationally.
