David B. Coe
David B. Coe (also publishing as D.B. Jackson) is an American author of fantasy, historical fantasy, and urban fantasy. He is the author of the LonTobyn Chronicle (winner of the William L. Crawford IAFA Fantasy Award), the Winds of the Forelands quintet, the Blood of the Southlands trilogy, the Thieftaker Chronicles (as D.B. Jackson), the Islevale Cycle, and several contemporary urban-fantasy novels published by Baen and others. He has also written media tie-ins (including a novelization of Ridley Scott’s film Robin Hood), contributed to writing craft discussions, and co-authored How to Write Magical Words: A Writer’s Companion. Coe holds a BA from Brown University and an MA and Ph.D. in U.S. history from Stanford University.
