Frances Hodgson Burnett

Frances Hodgson Burnett (1849–1924) was an English-born novelist and playwright best known for her children's classics including The Secret Garden, A Little Princess, and Little Lord Fauntleroy. She wrote fiction for both adults and children, often exploring themes of social class, resilience, and the restorative power of nature. After emigrating to the United States in her youth, she lived and worked in both England and America throughout her life.
