Richard Dawkins

Richard Dawkins (born 1941) is a British evolutionary biologist, ethologist, and author. He rose to prominence with The Selfish Gene (1976), which popularized the gene-centered view of evolution, and has written influential books on evolution, atheism, and science communication. Dawkins has been a prominent public intellectual and critic of creationism and religious orthodoxy.
