Michael Christie
Michael Christie is a Canadian novelist and short-story writer from Thunder Bay, Ontario. He is the author of the short-story collection The Beggar's Garden (2011) and the novels If I Fall, If I Die (2015) and Greenwood (2019). His work has been longlisted for the Scotiabank Giller Prize, shortlisted for multiple Canadian literary prizes, and has won the Vancouver Book Award and the Arthur Ellis Award. He earned an MFA in creative writing from the University of British Columbia and has worked in social services and as a writer for skateboarding magazine Color. He lives on Galiano Island, British Columbia.
