Elly Griffiths is the pen name of Domenica de Rosa (born 17 August 1963). A former editorial director in children’s publishing, she is best known for her bestselling Ruth Galloway forensic-archaeology crime series, the Stephens & Mephisto Brighton mysteries, and several standalone crime novels. She lives near Brighton with her husband and has written for both adults and children.
