Roger Jon Ellory (born 20 June 1965) is a British novelist best known for crime and thriller fiction. Raised in Birmingham and orphaned at a young age, he began writing as an adult and published his debut Candlemoth in 2003. Ellory's international breakthrough came with A Quiet Belief in Angels (2007), which has sold millions of copies and been translated into many languages. He has written numerous standalone thrillers and is also active in music.
