Paul Kearney (born 1967) is a Northern Irish novelist best known for his work in epic fantasy. He rose to prominence with standalone novels in the early 1990s and gained wider recognition with the Monarchies of God sequence. He studied Anglo-Saxon, Middle English and Old Norse at Oxford, has lived in Denmark and the United States, and resides in County Down, Northern Ireland. His work is noted for its gritty, military-influenced realism and has been compared to authors like David Gemmell.
