Kevin Wayne Jeter (born March 26, 1950) is an American novelist best known for science fiction, horror, and steampunk works. He is the author of the cyberpunk novel Dr. Adder, the alternate-history Morlock Night, and three authorized novel sequels to the film Blade Runner. Jeter coined the term "steampunk" in a 1987 letter to Locus and has written novels set in the Star Wars and Star Trek universes. He studied at California State University, Fullerton and has been active as a writer since the 1970s.
