Jeff Kinney (born February 19, 1971) is an American author, cartoonist, and game designer best known for creating the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, a best-selling illustrated middle-grade/children's book series that blends prose and cartoon-style illustrations. Kinney developed the character of Greg Heffley and launched the series online before its print publication; the books have sold millions of copies worldwide and been adapted into feature films and other media.
