Elana K. Arnold is an American author of picture books, middle grade, and young adult novels. Her awards and honors include a Michael L. Printz Honor (Damsel) and a National Book Award finalist citation (What Girls Are Made Of). She teaches in Hamline University’s MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults program and lives in Long Beach, California. Her work spans picture books (A Boy Called Bat series), middle grade, and YA novels and has received numerous starred reviews and state- and national-level recognitions.
