Isabel Colegate
Isabel Diana Colegate (10 September 1931 – 12 March 2023) was a British novelist and literary agent best known for her 1980 novel The Shooting Party. Her work often examined the lives and tensions of the English upper classes in the early 20th century. Colegate co-founded a publishing firm early in her career, was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature in 1981, and received the WH Smith Literary Award for The Shooting Party.
