Lesley Crewe
Lesley Crewe (born June 27, 1955) is a Canadian novelist and essayist known for warm, character-driven fiction often set in Cape Breton and Montreal. She published her first novel, Relative Happiness, in 2005 (later adapted for film) and has written numerous novels and essay collections exploring family, community, humour, and everyday life. Her novel The Spoon Stealer won the Jim Connors Dartmouth Book Award (Atlantic Book Awards) and has been longlisted for Canada Reads. Crewe lives in rural Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.
