Vijay Agnew is an Indian-born Canadian scholar, author, and feminist researcher. She immigrated to Canada in 1970, has taught in the social sciences at York University in Toronto since the mid-1970s, and served as director of the Centre for Feminist Research. Her work focuses on diaspora, memory, immigration, gender, and social justice; notable books include Resisting Discrimination, Where I Come From, Elite Women in Indian Politics, and the edited volume Diaspora, Memory, and Identity.
