Arundhati Roy
Arundhati Roy (born 1961) is an Indian author, activist and essayist best known for her Booker Prize–winning novel The God of Small Things (1997). Her work spans literary fiction and politically engaged nonfiction, addressing issues such as social justice, human rights, globalization and environmentalism. She published her second novel, The Ministry of Utmost Happiness, in 2017 and is also widely known for her collections of essays and public interventions.
