Ruth Prawer Jhabvala

Ruth Prawer Jhabvala was a German-born British and American novelist and screenwriter, best known for her long-standing collaboration with Merchant Ivory Productions. Her work often explored the complexities of cultural identity, exile, and the encounter between Eastern and Western mentalities. She is the only person to have won both a Booker Prize and an Academy Award.
