A.J. Betts is an Australian author, teacher, speaker and cyclist based in Fremantle, Western Australia. She writes primarily for young adults; notable books include ShutterSpeed, Wavelength, Zac & Mia (winner of the Text Prize for Young Adult and Children’s Writing and adapted for television), and the speculative HIVE/ROGUE duology. Betts has worked as a secondary-school English teacher, has taught creative writing at university level, and completed a PhD at Edith Cowan University on the topic of wonder.
