Ted Bell

Theodore Augustus "Ted" Bell III (July 3, 1946 – January 20, 2023) was an American advertising executive turned novelist best known for the Alex Hawke series of spy thrillers. A former chairman and creative director at Young & Rubicam and president/chief creative officer at Leo Burnett, Bell became a New York Times bestselling author with a dozen suspense novels and a YA time-adventure series. He lived in Connecticut and served as writer-in-residence at Cambridge University during his career.
