Alex Gray

Alex Gray is a Scottish crime writer, best known for her long-running Detective Chief Inspector William Lorimer series set in Glasgow. Born and raised in Glasgow, she studied English and Philosophy at the University of Strathclyde. Before becoming a full-time novelist, she worked as a folk singer, a visiting officer for the DHSS, and an English teacher. She is a co-founder of the international Bloody Scotland crime writing festival.
