Ann Cleeves
Ann Cleeves (born 24 October 1954) is an English/British crime novelist best known for her Vera Stanhope, Shetland (Jimmy Perez) and Two Rivers (Matthew Venn) series. She has written more than thirty-five novels, many of which have been adapted for television (including ITV's Vera and BBC One's Shetland). Cleeves has received major honours including the Duncan Lawrie Dagger (2006) and the CWA Diamond Dagger (2017), and was appointed OBE for services to reading and libraries.
