Agatha Christie (1890–1976) was a British writer best known for her 66 detective novels and 14 short story collections, particularly those featuring Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple. She is one of the best-selling authors of all time and earned the title 'Queen of Crime' for her contributions to the mystery genre. Christie also wrote plays, including The Mousetrap, and several romances under the pen name Mary Westmacott.
