Maggie Brookes

Maggie Brookes is a British author, former journalist, and BBC television documentary producer. She is an advisory fellow for the Royal Literary Fund and an Associate Professor at Middlesex University, where she taught creative writing for 30 years. She has published several poetry collections under her married name, Maggie Butt, and is known for her historical fiction novels, including 'The Prisoner's Wife' and 'Acts of Love and War'.
