Shilpi Somaya Gowda is a New York Times and internationally bestselling author known for her novels exploring themes of family, culture, and identity. Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, she holds an MBA from Stanford University and a bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her writing was inspired by a college summer spent volunteering at an Indian orphanage. She currently lives in California.
