Annie Barrows is an American author and editor, best known for her children's book series 'Ivy and Bean' and for co-authoring the bestselling novel 'The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society' with her aunt, Mary Ann Shaffer. Born in San Diego and raised in San Anselmo, California, she worked as an editor at Chronicle Books before pursuing a career as a full-time writer. She holds a B.A. in Medieval History from UC Berkeley and an MFA in Creative Writing from Mills College.
