Eleanor Catton is a Canadian-born New Zealand novelist and screenwriter. She gained international acclaim for her second novel, The Luminaries, which won the 2013 Booker Prize, making her the youngest author to ever win the award at age 28. She is also known for her debut novel, The Rehearsal, and her third novel, Birnam Wood. She has worked as a screenwriter, adapting her own work and Jane Austen's Emma for the screen.
