Michael Finkel
Michael Finkel (born 1969) is an American journalist and bestselling nonfiction author. He has written for The New York Times Magazine, National Geographic, GQ, Vanity Fair and other outlets. Finkel is the author of True Story: Murder, Memoir, Mea Culpa (adapted as the 2015 film True Story) and The Stranger in the Woods: The Extraordinary Story of the Last True Hermit, among other nonfiction books that explore crime, solitude, and marginalized lives.
