P.D. Eastman

Philip Dey Eastman (1909–1986) was an American children's author, illustrator, and animator. Before his success in children's literature, he worked in animation for Walt Disney Studios and Warner Bros. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army Signal Corps film unit, where he collaborated with Dr. Seuss. He is best known for his popular books in the Random House 'Beginner Books' series, including 'Are You My Mother?' and 'Go, Dog. Go!'.
