Carol Berg

Carol Berg is an American author of epic fantasy novels. Before becoming a full-time writer, she worked as a software engineer and taught high school mathematics. She holds degrees in mathematics from Rice University and computer science from the University of Colorado. She is known for series such as the Rai-Kirah, The Bridge of D'Arnath, The Lighthouse Duet, and the Collegia Magica novels. She also writes fantasy adventure novels under the pen name Cate Glass.
