John Wyndham

John Wyndham (born John Wyndham Parkes Lucas Beynon Harris) was a prominent British science fiction writer, best known for his post-apocalyptic novels that often explored the human struggle for survival when catastrophic events disrupted ordinary English life. He served in the British Army during World War II and began his writing career in the 1920s, eventually achieving major success with 'The Day of the Triffids' in 1951.
