Hwee Hwee Tan
Hwee Hwee Tan is a Singaporean novelist, journalist, and editor. She gained international recognition for her debut novel, Foreign Bodies (1997), published when she was 22, and her second novel, Mammon Inc. (2001), which won the Singapore Literature Prize. Her writing often explores themes of identity, globalization, and the expatriate experience, drawing from her own life in Singapore, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and the United States. While she has paused her fiction writing, she remains active as a professional writer, copywriter, and journalist.
