Anjali Joseph

Anjali Joseph is an Indian novelist and teacher of literature and creative writing. Born in Mumbai, she relocated to England at age seven. She studied English at Trinity College, Cambridge, and holds an MA and a PhD in Creative and Critical Writing from the University of East Anglia. Her debut novel, Saraswati Park (2010), won the Betty Trask Prize, the Desmond Elliott Prize, and the Vodafone Crossword Book Award for Fiction. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature and lives in Oxford.
