Will Self is an English novelist, journalist, political commentator, and broadcaster known for his satirical, grotesque, and fantastical fiction. His work frequently explores themes of mental illness, drug abuse, and psychiatry, and is often set in London. He has served as a Professor of Contemporary Thought at Brunel University London.
