Douglas Niles

Douglas Niles (born December 1, 1954) is an American fantasy novelist and game designer. He was one of the creators of aspects of the Dragonlance setting, authored the first Forgotten Realms novels (including the Moonshae trilogy), and wrote numerous Dragonlance and other fantasy titles. Niles has also designed role‑playing modules and board games and coauthored alternate history military novels.
