Jackie Morris is a British writer and illustrator born in Birmingham in 1961. She is known for her stunning watercolor artworks and her deep connection to the natural world. Morris studied art at Hereford College of Arts and Bath Academy of Art. She began her career illustrating for magazines before moving into children's books. Her notable works include "The Lost Words" and "The Lost Spells," collaborations with Robert Macfarlane, which celebrate nature and language. Morris lives in a small house by the sea in Wales, where she continues to paint and write.
