Dr. Ernest Drake
Dr. Ernest Drake is a fictional persona, created by Dugald A. Steer, who is presented as a 19th-century English dragonologist. He is the supposed author of the "Dragonology" series of books. According to the fictional narrative, he was born in 1822 in St. Leonard's Forest, Sussex, England, and was fascinated by dragons from a young age. He studied dragonology and made significant contributions to the field, including research on the migratory habits of frost dragons. He founded "Dr. Drake's Dragonalia" in London, a shop dedicated to dragons, and was a founding member of the Secret & Ancient Society of Dragonologists (S.A.S.D.). He is credited with bringing the study of dragons under the umbrella of natural sciences. He is said to have died in 1912 at the age of 90.
