Chris Conover
Chris Conover is an American artist and illustrator known for her work on children's books. Born and raised in New York City, she is the daughter of two professional artists. Conover attended the High School of Music and Art and later the State University of New York at Buffalo. She has illustrated over twenty picture books and authored eight of them. Her work often features animal characters, and she also creates commissioned pet portraits. Conover's illustrations are typically done in watercolor with pen and ink, while her portraits are in acrylics. She has received recognition for her work, including a Boston Globe/Horn Book honor for "Six Little Ducks."
