Katie Alender
Katie Alender grew up in South Florida and studied Communication Arts at the Palm Beach County School of the Arts. She later attended the Florida State University Film School before moving to Los Angeles, where she worked in TV development and production. Alender is the author of several young adult novels, including the "Bad Girls Don't Die" series, "Marie Antoinette, Serial Killer," "Famous Last Words," "The Dead Girls of Hysteria Hall," and "The Companion." Her novel "The Companion" won the Edgar Award for Best Young Adult Novel in 2021. She enjoys writing, reading, sewing, gardening, cooking, and playing board games.
