Jaclyn Moriarty is an Australian novelist, primarily known for her young adult literature. She has also written novels for adults and middle grade readers. Before becoming a full-time writer, she worked as an entertainment and media lawyer for four years. Moriarty studied English and Law at the University of Sydney, and pursued further legal studies at Yale University and Cambridge University, where she earned a PhD. She is the sister of novelists Liane Moriarty and Nicola Moriarty. Moriarty has lived in Sydney, Australia, as well as in England, the US, and Canada, but currently resides in Sydney.
