Julie Sykes
Julie Sykes is a British author known for her work in children's literature. She has written over 100 books, including picture books, early readers, and chapter books. Sykes is the author of the Unicorn Academy series, published by Nosy Crow, which has been translated into multiple languages. Her other works include the Fairy Ponies series and the Silver Dolphins series, both published by Usborne Publishing. She was born in Kingston upon Thames, England, and moved to Australia with her family shortly after birth, returning to England at age five. She was educated in Surrey and studied at Kingston University. Sykes taught in schools for seven years before becoming a full-time author. She currently lives in Cornwall with her family and a white wolf that disguises itself as a dog. Her books have been adapted into an animated series by Netflix.
