Karen Maezen Miller is a Zen Buddhist priest and teacher at the Hazy Moon Zen Center in Los Angeles. She is also an author whose books explore Zen wisdom in everyday life, including "Paradise in Plain Sight," "Hand Wash Cold," and "Momma Zen: Walking the Crooked Path of Motherhood." Miller began her Zen practice in 1993 and was ordained as a priest in 2003. She lives in Sierra Madre, California, with her family.
