Robert Temple

Robert Temple is an author known for his provocative books that blend academic scholarship with accessible communication to the public. He is the author of numerous books, including the international bestseller "The Sirius Mystery," which explores ancient connections between Earth and extraterrestrial civilizations. His work often challenges conventional beliefs by examining history, mythology, and science. Temple has also written on topics such as plasma physics, ancient optical artifacts, and Chinese science and technology. He has held academic positions as a Visiting Professor at Tsinghua University in Beijing and previously at an American university. He has also worked as a science writer for publications like The Sunday Times and The Guardian, and as a science reporter for Time-Life. Temple is a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society and a member of several other academic societies. He has produced and presented documentaries on his archaeological discoveries and his translation of "The Epic of Gilgamesh" was staged at the Royal National Theatre in London. He co-authored and translated "Aesop's Fables" with his wife, Olivia.
